Small Notes, March 2011

I am very excited to announce that I have added a second office space to my practice. Dr. Manoj Garg and his associates at Spectrum Family Health have graciously offered me space in their beautiful offices in Pawtucket.

Pawtucket Office

My available hours at this office will be variable, but typically Tuesdays (8:30a-5p) and Wednesday mornings (8:30a-2p), by appointment only.

If there are friends, family, and co-workers who you wanted to refer to me, but they were too far from Westerly, please consider letting them know about my new Pawtucket office.

Warmly,
Karen

Self Help Tips

How to Massage Your Belly is a nice resource for a simple abdominal massage you can give yourself. Stress can be stored in our abdomens, with the potential of affecting our breathing and digestion. Consider a relaxing belly massage next time you feel stressed!

In most sessions, I don't typically work on the abdomen, due to time restraints and possible client concerns (as spelled out in the article). I can however highly recommend it if you'd like to try it in your next massage, along with Visceral Manipulation work.

Wellness is so much more than the absence of illness...
It is a path towards a healthy balance in mind, body and spirit.
Regularly receiving bodywork is a fundamental step along that path.
