Hot Stone Massage

Hot stones add a powerful element to your massage. The heat and weight of the stones help tissues to absorb heat, allow you to relax deeply and soothe the nervous system. Hot stones will be placed on your body as well as being held in my hands as I work to soothe and relax your muscles.

What to expect?

For my hot stone sessions, stones will be placed on your abdomen, hands and feet while you are lying on your back. Once you are lying face down, stones are placed alongside your spine. Other stones may be placed as needed to relax tight tissues. The massage itself is done while holding stones in my hands.

What difference does using hot stones make?

Giving a massage using hot stones enables me to access deeper layers of your muscles without needing to use as much pressure. The stones help to relax your tissues and soften dense areas. A hot stone massage is a deep tissue massage that is very relaxing and deeply effective.

What do I need to know before I schedule a hot stone massage?

Before choosing a hot stone massage, think about whether you truly like heat (for example, do you like hot showers, saunas and hot tubs?). Hot stone massage will cause an increase in your blood and lymph circulation, therefore it is not recommended for people with circulatory problems.

You will need to request hot stones when you call for your appointment. Advanced time is needed to prepare hot stones; therefore they are unavailable unless requested ahead of time.

There is no additional cost to add hot stones to your massage.
